Coley Williams

PRESIDENT

Coley is NFMC & NCHEC Certified by NeighborWorks America in Foreclosure Prevention/Loss Mitigation, Financial & Credit Counseling, as well as Home Buyer Education. Coley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Union College in Bethesda, MD.

Coley has a background as a Financial Analyst for both large and small corporations, as well as extensive experience in Real Estate, Mortgages and Property & Asset Management. Additionally, Coley has provided consulting services to area nonprofits, as well as the City of Kansas City, Missouri in such areas as Foreclosure Prevention and recognizing and preventing mortgage fraud. Coley also worked in conjunction with the City of Kansas City, Missouri in conducting large group seminars on Home Buying & Homeownership Preservation at various locations throughout the city.

In 2010, along with business partner Ron Farmer, Coley successfully co-founded the HUD approved nonprofit organization, Credit & Homeownership Empowerment Services, Inc. (CHES, Inc.), after recognizing a need for more extensive Homeownership Preservation services within the Kansas City community. Today Coley teaches within his organization, and independently as a consultant for other nonprofits; he is a member of The Missouri Homeownership Preservation Network (MoHPN), and is currently developing an innovative approach to nonprofit services within his community.

Ron Farmer

VICE PRESIDENT

Ron is NCHEC certified in HUD approved pre & post purchase homebuyer education, financial & credit counseling, coaching & education, asset management, rental & REO purchase counseling, as well as NFMC certified in advanced foreclosure prevention & loss mitigation. He is also HUD certified in HECM reverse mortgage counseling. He is a 2011 graduate of University of Central Missouri’s Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt program, a program designed to streamline and maximize efficiencies in both manufacturing and service related processes.

Prior to Co-Founding CHES, Inc. in 2010, Ron had 15 years experience in residential and commercial real estate and lending. He grew up in an entrepreneurial household, where he was part of a successful family business for 30 years. His prior business experience, along with a lifelong passion for helping others to achieve their goals was a catalyst for the creation of Credit & Homeownership Empowerment Services, Inc. (CHES, Inc.).

Launched in 2010 after a discussion regarding the need for a holistic approach to assist those negatively impacted by the financial crisis, CHES, Inc. has successfully grown to include a multitude of HUD approved housing, financial, credit, and, new in 2017, business related education, counseling and coaching services. CHES, Inc., which began as a one-room office, recently acquired and rehabbed a 5,000 sq. ft. building to house its new offices, complete with conference areas, community resource computers and a Wi-Fi ready classroom. CHES, Inc. now serves over 600 families annually.
